April 30-May 1, 2016 – Mission Federal Artwalk: San Diego
San Diego’s largest art and music festival celebrating visual and performing arts arrives the last weekend in April. The festival takes place on the streets of Little Italy, considered to be one of the hippest artistic communities in San Diego. This year marks the 32nd year of the festival and features over 300 artists, including a large installation of Mexican art. April 30-May 1, 2016 – Mountain View A la Carte & Art: Mountain View
Located 40 miles outside of San Francisco is the town of Mountain View. For the past 20 years the town has played host to an annual festival which features arts and crafts booths, pre-packaged food booths, live entertainment for adults and children, a designated kid’s area that features events and crafts for kids, and a beer, wine and food tent for adults. May 1, 2016 – Thirty-Eight May Festival: Woodland
This free event takes place on the Historic Gibson Mansion grounds in Woodland. This event is very community oriented and brings in roughly 700 attendees each year. May 7-8, 2016 – Sierra Madre Art Fair: Sierra Madre
This Fine Art and Craft fair features work by 100 artists, a food court, wine and beer garden, live performances at the band shell, a silent auction and a variety of events and activities for kids. There is no cost to get into the Fair and all of the proceeds support and further the mission of the Sierra Madre Public Library.
